◆ A bunch of pointlessly long areas were shortened. So was the chase scene. Thank Etihw. ◆ The continue mechanics from Wadanohara were adopted (you get a “continue” option after non-true endings or getting caught). Thank… Kcalb, I guess? ◆ Yosafire’s room has a mirror which anyone who’s able to access it can use. ◆ Blancblack Castle has new warp slates connecting the bottom and top floor. ◆ The menu was modified to be a popup with options to save or open the old menu. I… don’t really know why… ◆ Slight presentation changes to the very first scenes and the character introduction screens. ◆ A few enemies, mostly bosses, were made… weaker…??? Mogeko, what. ◆ While I was at it, I touched up some parts of the translation and tried to make all references to Etihw gender neutral (they/their, no “Lady Etihw”s). Tell me if I missed one.
The process of adding the new menu was really annoying and susceptible to error (an event needed to be added to every map, and a switch flipped before and after every cutscene). If you aren’t able to open the menu in a particular place where you have control of a character, or are able to open it in the middle of a scene (between textboxes), please tell me so I can fix it.
I may have also messed up while implementing the shortened areas, and if so, it will probably be really apparent when the game tries to take you to a nonexistent map or a bizarre place in an existing one. (However, a “return” connection may have been messed up too, in which case it would be harder to notice in a playthrough.) So yeah, inform me of that too.
EDIT: If you downloaded earlier, you’ll probably want to redownload so that Blancblack Castle’s top floor doesn’t crash.
